Operational History:

• Standard British ARV from 1956, with some units serving in the Gulf War (1990–1991).

• Final Centurion ARV Mk-2 units withdrawn from service in 1995.

• Converted from Centurion gun tanks, producing two primary hull variants:

  • Long hull (based on Centurion Mk-1/2)

  • Short hull (based on Centurion Mk-3/5) – majority of the 300+ produced.

• Short-hull variant also supplied to export customers worldwide, sometimes in modified form.
